About the Products

What are Fern Family Co. products made of?

Our visual boards are made from high-quality acrylic and printed with multiple durable layers to ensure the design stays crisp and secure over time. Clings are printed on reusable static cling vinyl—no sticky residue, lamination, or Velcro required.

What’s the difference between magnetic and wall-mounted boards?

Magnetic boards come with strong magnetic hardware that attaches securely to most fridges and metal surfaces. They also include anti-skid rings to help keep the board in place.

Wall-mounted boards include screws and anchors so you can install them directly on your wall. All boards are compatible with our cling systems—just choose the one that works best in your space.

Do the clings stick to other surfaces?

Yes! Clings stick to any smooth, non-porous surface—including acrylic boards, windows, mirrors, and whiteboards. They’re easy for kids to reposition and can be reused over and over again.

Do you take custom orders?

We don’t offer custom designs at this time—but we have a wide variety of cling sets that cover everything from routines and chores to emotional regulation and learning.

If you're looking for something more personalized, try flipping over a cling you don’t use often. They’re double-sided, so you can draw or write your own using a wet erase marker.

using your board

how do I know which board is right for my family?

Start with where you need the most support—daily routines, emotional regulation, visual scheduling, etc. Our Board Finder Quiz is a great way to narrow it down. You can also visit the How It Works page or explore blog posts below.

what age range are your boards for?

Most products are great for kids ages 3+, but we also offer tools that grow with your family—some even work well for teens, adults, and educators. Each product page includes a suggested age range.

can these be used in schools or therapy settings?

Absolutely. Our products were designed with support from educators, speech therapists, and psychologists. They’re loved by teachers and therapists for helping children—especially neurodivergent learners—build independence and confidence.

how do I clean the boards and clings?

Wipe your board with a soft cloth and water or gentle cleaner.

Clings can be rinsed with warm, soapy water if they stop sticking. Just let them air dry, sticky-side up, on a towel.

👉 Do not use dry erase markers—they can strip the ink. Always use wet erase if writing on the back.

Avoid using sharp tools when removing clings to prevent tearing the material.
