Why I Created the Balanced Board
As a parent of neurodivergent and neurotypical kids, I realized that routines aren’t just about getting tasks done — they’re about finding balance. Some days are heavy on screens, others too packed with chores or schoolwork. I wanted my kids to feel in control of their time and learn the value of a well-rounded day.
The Balanced Daily Board was born from that need — a visual tool that lets your child choose tasks from different areas of life (like movement, learning, service, and rest) and create a day that feels right for them.
“It’s helped us talk about how to balance work and play — and my kids feel like they have a say in their day.”

How is it different from the Routine Daily Board?
How is it different from the Routine Daily Board?
The Routine Daily Board sets specific tasks by time of day (morning, daytime, evening), while the Balanced Daily Board lets kids choose when to do their tasks, as long as they complete a well-rounded day. It’s more about teaching balance and ownership than sticking to a strict schedule.
