Why I Started Fern Family Co
Hi, I’m Lisa—mom of three, designer, and founder of Fern Family Co.
When my son Beckham was diagnosed with autism, our days felt chaotic and overwhelming. He was nonverbal, often melting down after masking emotions all day at school. We needed more than a routine—we needed a way to communicate, feel in control, and create calm in our home.
So I built our first board—an acrylic calendar to help him know what to expect each day.
That one board sparked an entire collection of visual tools for families like ours: tools that simplify routines, support regulation, and foster independence while making kids feel seen.
